About Brightside GRH

At Brightside GRH (Group Residential Housing), we are committed to providing a safe, structured, and spiritually grounded environment for individuals seeking healing from substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Our program is rooted in Islamic principles of compassion, community, accountability, and personal growth.

Based in South Minneapolis, the Brightside Campus offers a safe, supportive, and faith-based environment designed to rebuild lives through strong community, Christ-centered guidance, and personal development. At the heart of our mission are these core biblical principles:

  • Honesty – Recognizing when you’re off course

  • Humility – Reaching out and asking for help

  • Confession – Speaking the truth with courage

  • Reconciliation – Restoring what’s been broken

  • Gratitude – Giving back to others

To provide comprehensive, faith-based ReEntry and Recovery programs for individuals released from incarceration—empowering them to experience true life transformation through Jesus Christ.

God and Man

We believe in one Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—undivided in essence and equal in glory. God created man in His own image; however, through sin, mankind became separated from God. Without faith in Jesus Christ, humanity remains eternally lost and estranged from its Creator.

The Administrative Building serves as the operational heart of Brightside Housing LLC. This is where the business side of our mission comes to life—housing leadership offices, hosting meetings, shaping policies, and casting vision for the future.

It is also home to several of our trusted community partners, including:

  • Partners in Recovery – Offering outpatient treatment, cognitive therapy, and mental health services to support holistic healing.

  • Neighborhood Hub – Providing computer training and digital skill development to help residents build a path toward employment and self-sufficiency.

This collaborative space ensures that every decision made contributes to the long-term transformation of the men we serve.

The Achievement Center is the heart of daily life and transformation at Brightside Housing LLC. This is where our participants actively engage in recovery, growth, and community support.

Within this dynamic facility, you'll find:

  • The chapel – a place for worship and spiritual renewal

  • The Blessing Closet – offering donated essentials for residents in need

  • 12-Step recovery meetings

  • A commercial kitchen and work programs designed to build life skills and job readiness

The Achievement Center spans three purpose-driven floors, each tailored to meet residents where they are in their journey:

  • 1st Floor – Supportive Community
Focused on building healthy relationships, accountability, and spiritual growth in a stable, sober environment.

  • 2nd Floor – Treatment Community
Designed for residents actively engaged in outpatient treatment, cognitive therapy, and structured recovery support.

  • 3rd Floor – ReEntry & AfterCare
Home to our long-term residents transitioning toward independence, employment, and spiritual maturity.

This building represents more than programming—it represents purpose, progress, and the power of a second chance.

The Recovery Community Building is home to men who have shown commitment, growth, and leadership. This space is reserved for graduates of our ReEntry & AfterCare Program and for those who have maintained at least one year of sobriety and secured steady employment.

Residents here enjoy upgraded living in studio and one-bedroom units, reflecting the progress they’ve made. These men serve as pillars of our community, setting the cultural tone and reaching back to mentor and support others on the journey to recovery.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
— 2 Timothy 2:2

This building also features:

  • A fully equipped fitness center

  • Dedicated classrooms for learning and growth

  • An on-site barbershop

  • The Bob T. Fellowship Hall, a central gathering place for community, celebration, and support

The Recovery Community is a living example of transformation, accountability, and the power of faith in action.
